I would have to say that seeing the glaciers of Alaska was truly amazing. Going up and down the Inside Passage gives you so much time to enjoy the beauty of them and the nature surrounding them. (don't worry about the cold there...we went in July and sported tank tops the whole time)

I didn't see any location in Oregon yet. Have you ever been to Oregon? Do you have any limitations for elevation gain per day? The most peaceful beautiful place in Oregon to hike and fish from high mountain lakes, is the Eastern side of Oregon, Wallowa Lake area. There are so many beautiful places to visit in Oregon and very different land formations - from coastline, to mountain, and high desert.
