Micanopy Native American Heritage Preserve

While visiting Payne's Prairie Preserve, we drove by this little spot in Micanopy to take a look. The trail is less than a mile long, so it was just a brief diversion.

There is a "museum" on the site, but it was locked up, and appeared to be empty with the exception of an old-style coffin that you can just make out in the photo through the window.  Off the the east a tower caught our attention – it was a really big bat house.
